Under the auspices of Dr. Maya Mercy, Minister of Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Social Solidarity has launched training groups in the area of governance and anti-corruption, aimed at the leadership of the Ministry ' s General Secretariat and the directors of the Directorates of Social Solidarity, under the project " Strengthening the institutional and human capacities of the Ministry of Social Solidarity " , implemented by the Ministry in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and with the European Union, in collaboration with the National Academy, in cooperation with the National Anti-Corruption Academy of the Administrative Superintegration Authority.
The implementation of the programme is part of the Ministry of Social Solidarity ' s concern to strengthen the institutional and leadership capacities of its employees, to consolidate the principles of governance, transparency and integrity, thereby enhancing the efficiency of institutional performance, to support the Ministry ' s efforts in developing the working environment and to improve the quality of services to citizens.
The Programme ' s activities were held at the headquarters of the National Anti-Corruption Academy of the Administrative Committee on Oversight, within the framework of institutional cooperation between the Ministry and the Academy, to draw on its specialized expertise in the preparation and implementation of training programmes in the areas of governance and anti-corruption, and to build the capacity of government leaders in accordance with national and international best practices.
The programme includes a number of specialized hubs, including the national anti-corruption strategy and its implementation and follow-up mechanisms, anti-corruption procedures, the role of government governance units, reporting skills, information security and protection of personal data, which strengthen the capacity of participants to apply the principles of governance, transparency and integrity, enhance institutional performance and support the efforts of the State in implementing the national anti-corruption strategy.
Eight training sessions aimed at the rehabilitation of 260 staff of the Ministry ' s leadership, directors of social solidarity directors, agents, public servants and affiliates will be carried out as part of the Ministry ' s efforts to build leadership cadres capable of consolidating the principles of governance, transparency and integrity, enhancing the efficiency of institutional performance and supporting the State ' s efforts in implementing the national anti-corruption strategy.
