Jessica Dunciel, a member of the United States Embassy ' s Public Affairs Officer, attended the first batch of the American Studies Certificate Programme, a partnership programme between the United States embassy and the Prince Bin Talal Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR) of the United States University of Cairo, and in the presence of the Director of the Centre, Professor Mark Dietz, Hant Dancell, culture and 20 distinguished Egyptian graduates, who have completed a six-month intensive programme that has focused history, science and economy.
Vital partnership
Dancell said: " This programme is a model of vital partnership between the United States and Egypt, which drives innovation and creates economic opportunities in both countries. By providing talented Egyptian youth with a deeper understanding of American society, we promote close ties and build cooperation that will benefit both the United States and Egypt for future generations. "
The American Studies Certificate Programme, a non-academic programme launched in January 2026, gives newly distinguished Egyptian graduates the opportunity to explore American society through lectures, symposia and case studies, reflecting the firm partnership between the United States and Egypt by preparing the next generation of leaders to work in the areas of international affairs, business, academia, public service and other areas, and, on the basis of the success of the first instalment, 20 seconds began.
