The Afro-Asian Peoples ' Solidarity Organization (AALCO) concluded the events of the advanced training course in the management of civil society organizations, organized by its headquarters in Cairo, with the participation of 46 trainees and interns from 12 African and Asian States over three days, in a step that reflects the Organization ' s commitment to strengthening the capacity of civil society institutions, preparing qualified personnel capable of contributing to development and peacebuilding efforts and consolidating the values of solidarity among peoples.
The training programme was provided by Dr. Mohamed Ihsan, Secretary-General of the Asian Afro-Asian Peoples ' Solidarity Organization, a academic with established scientific expertise and rich experience in the areas of community action, institutional development and capacity-building, who provided participants with an integrated programme that brought together theoretical foundations and practical applications, drawing on their regional and international expertise.
The training programme included a number of specialized hubs, including strategic planning, governance and institutional management, project preparation and management, partnership building, volunteer management, resource mobilization and institutional networking, which contribute to the development of the functioning of civil society organizations and enhance their capacity to respond to development and humanitarian challenges.
Dr. Mohamed Ihsan stressed that investing in human building and institutional development was the cornerstone of sustainable development, noting that civil society organizations had become a key partner in supporting development efforts, promoting community cohesion and fostering a culture of dialogue and cooperation among peoples.
The session featured a distinct interaction between participants representing 12 States, sharing national experiences and experiences, and discussing best practices in the management of civil society organizations, thereby enhancing opportunities for cooperation and knowledge-sharing between civil institutions in Africa and Asia.

The course is part of the training programme of the Asian Afro-Asian People ' s Solidarity Organization (AALCO), building on its mission to support capacity-building, promote African-Asian cooperation and develop competent and knowledge to meet accelerated development challenges, thus enhancing the role of civil society as an active partner in development and peace.
