Unanimously. Alaa Al - Zuhairi

Alaa Al-Zohairy, Vice Chairman of GIG Egypt – Hayat Takaful, officially won the position of Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Insurance Companies for the new term (2025-2029) by acclamation, after the elections were held today.

Khalid Abdul Sadeq, Managing Director of Al-Muhandis Insurance Company, also won the post of Vice President of the Federation by acclamation.

Who is Alaa Zuhairi?

Alaa Al-Zuhairi has more than 30 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance activities, during which he held several positions in major insurance companies, most recently as Managing Director of GAG Insurance Egypt, in addition to being Vice Chairman of GAG Egypt – Life Takaful.

Al-Zohairi also participated in many training courses and specialized studies in insurance, which were prepared by major reinsurance companies such as Munich Re, Swiss Re, AXA; next to Skor, Ace, United Insurance Brokers, Ion and Marsh.

Al-Zohairi is an active member of several federations and organizations, including the Arab Insurance Union, the Egyptian-Lebanese Friendship Association, the Insurance Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce, and the Egyptian Businessmen Association.

Khaled Abdel - Sadek

Abdel Sadek is one of the most prominent figures working in the Egyptian and Arab insurance market because of his extensive insurance experience in the field of insurance and reinsurance in addition to his great biography and holding many senior positions in the insurance market, most recently the CEO and Managing Director of Al-Muhandis Insurance Company.

Khaled Abdel Sadek has previously served as Vice Chairman of Misr Holding Insurance Group, Vice Chairman of Misr Insurance Company for Technical Affairs, Executive Director of Misr Insurance Company’s Dubai branch, and former Board Member of Misr Insurance for 6 years.

Khaled Abdel Sadek is currently the Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the Egyptian Association for Compulsory Motor Insurance, as well as the Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the Egyptian Association for Insurance of Civil Liability for the Risks of Construction Works.
