In a loyalty and appreciation gesture, the Union of Students of Afghanistan of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Seymour Nasirov Al-Azhari, President of the Azerbaijani community in Egypt and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian-Azerbaijani Friends Association, paid tribute to his tendering career in the service of the students of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the students who had extended for over 25 years.
During the honour ceremony, the President of the Federation of Students of Afghanistan, Mr. Barclayllah Shirzad, confirmed that Dr. Seymour had been and was still a student bond, open his doors and hearts, provide them with scientific, cultural and social support and help to overcome the challenges they face, through initiatives and programmes he had launched to serve students of science, primarily those organized by the Egyptian Association of Friends of Azerbaijan.
Dr. Seymour was an honourable model of loyalty and the service of science, and his efforts had a good impact on thousands of students from different nationalities, noting that his résumé had become a source of inspiration for all who served students and promoted their scientific and humanitarian mission.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the members of the Federation expressed their sincere appreciation and pride for the continued efforts of Dr. Seymour Nasirov Al-Azhar, wishing him to continue to be able to reconcile and pay tribute to God in his indignation and to benefit students of science throughout the world.
For his part, Dr. Seymour paid sincere thanks and appreciation to the Federation of Students of Afghanistan for this beautiful note, emphasizing that any honour was an increase in duties and responsibility, and that this tribute was not only a tribute to his person, but to anyone who sought to serve students of science.
It should be noted that Dr. Seymour Nasirov Al-Azhari, President of the Azerbaijani community in Egypt, President of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian-Azerbaiian Friendship Society, member of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Arts of Cairo University, has served students of science for over 25 years.
A number of decorations, medals, shields and certificates of appreciation have been received from several States, institutions and bodies, in recognition of their scientific and cultural contributions, the first-class medal of which is awarded by the Order of Science and Arts of the First Class of President Abdelfattah Al-Sese of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in 2025, one of the highest features given an appreciation of outstanding contributions to science and culture.
The Egyptian-Azerbaijani Friendship Society currently has more than 670 students of different nationalities, of whom approximately half are Egyptians, who benefit from various educational and cultural programmes, including the study of the 10 micro- and macro readers of the Holy Quran, Sind, connected to Sydna Mohamed Salallah, Allah and Salim, as well as Arabic language sciences, from the direction, libration, edness and conversation.
The programmes also include artistic and cultural activities, including the Arab and Zakra lines, education in the Azerbaijani and English languages, as well as art in the manual carpet industry and audio dictionaries, and literacy through a programme for children.
All these programmes are provided free of charge, from the Assembly ' s message of support to students of science and knowledge, believing that the service of science is a human and community responsibility that contributes to building conscious and qualified generations to serve their nations.
