Dr. Osama Abdul Hai, President of the Federation of Medical Professionals and Doctors ' Captain, presented six major demands during his address to the ordinary General Assembly of the Federation of Medical Professionals, emphasizing that they represented issues affecting members of the Federation, which included human doctors, dentists, hunters and veterinarian doctors.
Abd al-Hai began by expressing his sincere condolences on the death of the two veterinarian doctors, Dr. Amira al-Kumi and Dr. Walla Ashour, who had died in the Alym incident in Mania province, and by calling on the President, Dr. Ahmed Abu Hassan, who had been shot in the course of his return from his work, calling on the members of the Assembly to identify a minute of their lives, asking them to forgiveness.
In his first request, the President of the Federation of Medical Professionals called for the release of physicians arrested in the Gaza Strip and their associate medical teams, emphasizing the full solidarity of the Federation with Palestinian medical crews under extremely difficult humanitarian conditions.
He called for an end to the expansion of medical colleges, cautioning against the continuing increase in the number of graduates and the negative effects on the health system and the labour market, stressing that no college without a university hospital was established to train students and doctors in accordance with academic and professional standards.
He also asked for a solution to the problem of veterinary medical excellence doctors, emphasizing the right of veterinary college graduates to obtain the Year of Excellence, and their equality with leniency doctors from human medicine and dental graduates.
Abdul Hai renewed his demand for the lifting of custody of the pharmacist, emphasizing the support of the Federation of Medical Professionals for the independence of trade unions and for their management.
In conclusion, the President of the Federation of Medical Professionals announced the Federation ' s solidarity with Dr. Mohamed Al-Dib, Captain Médecin Gana, who had been the director of the Qana Hospital before a decision was taken to deport him, stressing that the Federation was not against holding any officials responsible for his failure, but refused to hold the doctor responsible for the deficiencies that did not fall within his competence, such as the lack of medical requirements or the shortage of doctors or other administrative problems.
