Push. Big attention. the Strait of HormuzHe's a narrow waterway, the Americans didn't even know much about him a few months ago.

The presentation of the Hormuz Strait, a narrow sea lane between Oman south and Iran north, is slightly more than 24 miles at its narrowest point.

It is estimated that 20 million barrels of oil are flowing through the Strait every day, with approximately 3,000 ships per month, with an energy trade value of $600 billion per year.

Wheeler. Nearly one fifth of world oil supplies, along with large quantities of natural gas, are liquid and petrochemical.

How is it possible for the world to allow Iran to shut down the sea, creating a marine crisis that could become a global economic disaster?

There are approximately 110 yards around the world, including some of the most crowded nautical corridors on the planet: the Strait of Malacca in South-East Asia, the Bab al-Mandab Strait connecting the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and the Taiwan Strait.

Considered. Between 50 and 60 main straits, but the Horms Strait is among the most important, yet Iran has been allowed to close it in response to its opponents, an illegal act that has led to high gas prices, disruption of maritime navigation, and placing Iran at the heart of the Gyusian high-risk swamp.

Not limited. The crisis is caused not only by maritime proliferation or military threats, but also by Iran ' s flagrant violation of international law, specifically the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

And this. The question arises: How is it possible for the world to allow Iran to shut down the sea, creating a marine crisis that may be aggravated into a global economic disaster?

Under article 44 of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, States bordering on straits shall not impede traffic and shall declare in an appropriate manner any threat to navigation or flight within or above the Strait, if they are aware of it.

However, here we are, where Iran has effectively transformed the waterway into a battlefield, with potentially serious consequences.

The Hormuz Strait is scheduled to be reopened after the signing of an interim memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, which guarantees the reopening of the Strait without Iranian charges for at least 60 days, pending technical agreements.

But remove. The experts point out that it will take weeks or even months to return the biowater corridor to pre-war traffic levels, due to ongoing threats from sea mines and logistical delays.
