The doctor has also consistently promoted prescriptions and treatments that have not been based on approved medical evidence, which have prompted extensive criticism from the medical community and repeated warnings from the competent authorities of the risks to patients ' health.
In April 2025, the Disciplinary Authority of the General Union of Doctors decided to impose a one-year suspended sentence for medical quality of Awad, for violating the provisions of the Code of Ethics, and to notify the competent authorities of the implementation of the decision.
The representative of the Disciplinary Board of the Doctors ' Union, Dr. Shadi Safout, said that the decision of the Appeals Disciplinary Authority to dismiss the appeal and to uphold the penalty of suspension by a doctor of the quality of the professional for a period of one year was final.
Dr. Shadi Safout added that the protection of the patient and the preservation of medical practice based on scientific evidence was one of the most important responsibilities of the trade union, emphasizing that the union addressed any remedial practices or allegations contrary to established scientific norms or any propaganda contrary to organized laws.
