Protocol of cooperation between the National Oncology Nursing and the Integrated Disability

The Technical Institute of Nurses of the National Institute of Oroms, Cairo University, Sheikh Zayed, signed a protocol of cooperation with the Integrated Centre for Persons with Disabilities, Al-Azeddin Fahmy Foundation.

Dr. Najat Mahmoud, Executive Director of the Integrated Centre for Persons with Disabilities, pointed out that the Protocol was aimed at strengthening the collaboration between the Integrated Centre for Persons with Disabilities and the Technical Institute of Nurses in various health-care activities for children with disabilities and providing awareness-raising lectures on health care and first aid for persons with disabilities.
Areas of cooperation have been to benefit from the capacity of students of the Technical Institute of Nurses and encourage them to volunteer activities at the Integrated Centre for Persons with Disabilities, to organize lectures and workshops within the Centre by members of the teaching staff of the Technical Institute for Nurses on health and physical care for children with disabilities at the Integrated Centre and the Action Team from the Special Education Specialist and Mothers of Children with Disabilities at the Centre, and initial aid for choking, self-care and personal hygiene.

Mahmoud stressed that the Integrated Centre for Persons with Disabilities was one of the projects of the Azzedinhima Foundation, which aims to provide integrated rehabilitation, education and treatment services according to the latest scientific programmes to reach children with disabilities to the maximum of their abilities, namely, to address - develop skills - to treat learning difficulties - to modify behaviour - training courses to guide and guide families of persons with disabilities - to apply psycho-smart-approof-social learning.
