Professor Osama Abdul Hai, Captain Médecins Egypt, participated in the events of the Fourth Conference on Influence and Insight, which was held at the Greatest Conference Room in El-Eye, with the participation of selected professors and specialist consultants from various Egyptian universities and hospitals, to discuss the latest scientific developments and modern techniques in dealing with critical situations and micro-emergencies in nose and ear discipline.
The Conference was an important scientific platform for exchanging experiences and promoting continuous medical education, particularly in the specific disciplines that required constant updating of medical knowledge and practical skills, noting that the choice and in-depth discussion of a specific scientific subject at each session contributed to enhancing the efficiency of doctors and improving the quality of services provided to patients.
Dr. Osama Abdel Hai explained that this year the Conference focused on discussing one of the most important and common themes of nose and ear specializations, namely, the overall eradication of almonds and balm processes, highlighting the main implications associated with them, and ways to prevent and deal with them in accordance with the latest global medical protocols.
According to the Medical Liability Act, potential complications during the provision of therapeutic service are not a medical error, as long as the doctor adheres to the approved scientific and professional assets.
Medical liability was not merely complications, but if they were not diagnosed early or failed to deal with them in accordance with sound scientific rules, he stressed that the doctor who was committed to his specialization, exercised the profession within licensed facilities and followed the established medical standards, did not have criminal liability when complications were made to the patient.
The Doctor ' s Captain pointed out that the law clearly distinguished between known medical complications and medical errors, stating that if a serious error occurred, it was punishable under a fine or civil compensation, without any deprivation of liberty, and that in such cases detention was not included.
The doctor ' s captain pointed out that specialized medical conferences had become a key pillar in the development of the health system, as they provided opportunities for scientific discussion and exchange of experiences between teachers and young doctors, as well as access to the latest science in various disciplines.
In conclusion, the Doctor ' s Captain thanked Professor Masad Abdelaziz, President of the Conference, for the great effort in organizing and preparing science, as well as for the role of the Organizing Committee and the Scientific Committee of the Conference in exhuming events honourably in the interest of Egyptian doctors and their scientific leadership.
