Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and the Environment, Chairman of the High Commission for Public Locations, announced the closing dates of the shops, restaurants and cafés during the month of Ramadan Al Mubarak and Eid al-Fitr, 1447H, as an exception to the dates established in accordance with Commission resolution 456 of 2020.

Dr. Manal Awad pointed out that the decision was within the Government ' s concern to provide citizens with a decent environment during the month, balancing the requirements of economic activity and maintaining public order.

Closure dates.
The Minister for Local Development and the Environment explained that, under the decision, the closing dates of shops, commercial malls, restaurants, cafes and embassies during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr ' s 1447th day off, at 2 a.m., with Tek Oki and the 24-hour extension service for restaurants and cafes, the workshop within the 10 p.m.

Dr. Manal Awad added that the decision excluded activities related to vital services for citizens such as grocery, supermarkets, bakeries and furnaces, taking into account the schedules of night activities of certain places such as fruits, vegetables, poultry shops, wholesale markets and pharmacies, to ensure that basic services were provided to citizens.

The Minister for Local Development explained that the decision would take place from Wednesday, 18 February 2002, to the end of the blessed holiday of Eid al-Fitr.

Dr. Manal Awad, governorates ' executive organs, addressed the need to follow up on the scheduling of the closure and opening of shops and restaurants for the month of Ramadan al-Mahbarak, ongoing coordination with stakeholders, and to alert heads of centres, cities and neighbourhoods to activate follow-up committees at each centre, city and neighbourhood to carry out campaigns on all business sites to ensure that their owners adhere to deadlines and take legal action against offenders
