About nine out of every ten economists are expected to explore the slowdown of global growth over the next year, while only 13% believe that global recession is possible.
According to the survey, 94 per cent of global inflation is expected to rise as a result of the closure of the Hem symbol Strait, which will raise energy and food prices and disrupt supply chains.
92 per cent is expected to increase the use of artificial intelligence over the next year, but optimism about the rapid impact on productivity in different sectors has declined.
Slowing global growth
About nine out of every ten major economists surveyed are expected to slow global growth over the next 12 months, dispelling the cautious optimism that prevailed at the beginning of the year, as the conflict in the Middle East fuels and the closure of the Holocaust of fears of a major global economic shock.
Senior economists are already classified as significantly more disruptive than last year ' s tariff disturbances. If the closure continues until the second half of the year, they expect the impact of the Kofid-19 crisis to come closer, exacerbating the effects on global supply chains, energy and food costs, and 94 per cent of the major polling economists are expected to rise in global inflation over the next year.
Only a few months ago, senior economists were cautiously optimistic, but the conflict in the Middle East changed that optimism, and the economic repercussions of the current situation are expected to continue in the coming months, said by Sadia Zahidi, Director-General of the World Economic Forum.
Variable regional expectations
The Middle East and North Africa region is expected to be the most affected by the fallout: after being considered one of the brightest economic areas a few months ago, 88 per cent of the major economists who are now surveyed are expected to experience very low or very low growth, the largest regional recuperation, while in other regions, expectations are mixed: inflation forecasts have risen sharply among all regions of sub-Saharan Africa, with rising inflationary risk to reach higher expectations.
