Facilitates the movement of tug ships
The minister also expressed appreciation for the constructive cooperation of the Suez Canal Authority in facilitating the movement of the tug ships and providing the necessary navigational support for their safe passage in the ports of Ain Sokhna. This contributed to strengthening the national natural gas network and ensuring the flow of vital supplies to power plants and the industrial sector last summer.
For his part, Lieutenant General Osama Rabie expressed his gratitude for the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Petroleum, pointing to the ambition to accelerate the implementation of the planned project, which is a launch to establish similar stations in Egyptian ports to serve the maritime sector and enhance energy efficiency.
He stressed that the Suez Canal has paid special attention to the transit of the tug ships, because of its strategic importance in supporting the national energy system, pointing out that the channel has succeeded in achieving a balance between providing safe transit to different vessels and providing significant economic savings compared to alternative methods, which enhances its position as a preferred option globally.
