The Chargé d ' affaires of the United States Embassy to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Robert Silverman, announced that the United States was providing over US$ 24 million to WFP to support Sudanese refugees in Egypt.
In response to the world ' s largest humanitarian crisis, the United States continues to support WFP efforts in the Sudan to provide life-saving food and nutrition assistance to those affected by the conflict.

Much of this support is channelled through United States contributions to the Sudan Humanitarian Fund managed by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

In the course of effectiveness, in the presence of the Allied pioneers, the country director and the resident representative of the World Food Programme in Egypt, Chargé d ' affaires Robert Silverman said:
«The United States is committed to working to end the conflict in the Sudan, and the Senior Adviser to President Trump for Arab and African Affairs, Masad Boules, continues to work with Egypt and other members of the Quartet to advance efforts to reach a negotiated settlement, beginning with the establishment of a humanitarian truce.

Today ' s declaration reflects this American commitment, where the United States stands side by side with Egypt to provide life-saving assistance to those displaced by the war in the Sudan.»I'm sorry.
