
Paris – In a sudden development, the palace of English today announced the resignation of French Prime Minister Sebastian Licorno less than 24 hours after the announcement of the formation of his new Government.
In this morning ' s statement, Licorno said: " The conditions for me to continue my duties as Prime Minister have not been met, criticizing the unwillingness of political parties to reach compromise solutions.
This announcement came after an hour-long meeting between Licorno and President Emmanuel McRon at the palace of the English.
This sudden step shocks the French political scene, with the resignation only 26 days after the appointment of Licorno as Prime Minister, following the collapse of the previous Government headed by François Paero.
