The Director-General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts in the Asfahan Governorate announced that the damage done to the historical heritage in Asfahan was forwarded to UNESCO and international judicial bodies.
According to Tsnim International news agency, the Director-General for Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicraft Industries of the Azfahan Governorate, Amir Karmzadeh, announced that the complaint file on damage to a number of historical sites and monuments in the governorate as a result of the recent war had been transmitted to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and international judicial bodies, following the completion of documents and documents in foreign languages.
During the meeting of the Society of Cultural Heritage in the Province, Karemzadeh said that the parties concerned had prepared a legal file documenting the damage caused to certain historic buildings in Asfahan during the American-Zioni aggression, noting that the file had been sent through the Iranian judiciary to UNESCO and the competent international courts to follow up the case.

With regard to the World Heritage List registration plans, Karemzadh explained that six mosques in Asfahan Governorate were listed in a list of 35 mosques for international registration in Iran, asserting that the mosques had great opportunities for success in accordance with the approved evaluation criteria.
He referred to the historical status of the province, stating that Asfahan had 33 historic cities of 168 historic cities in Iran, equivalent to about one fifth of the country ' s historical cities, reflecting its cultural and cultural weight.
Asfahan was leading the Iranian provinces in terms of the size and diversity of cultural heritage, thanks to its unique monuments and historic buildings.
