The Indian Students ' Union of the Al-Azhar-Sharif University, Dr. Seymour Nasirov, President of the Azerbaijani community in Egypt and President of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian-Azerbaijani Friendship Society, paid tribute to his great efforts in serving students of science over 25 years.
During the honour ceremony, the President of the Federation of Students of India, Mr. Mohamed Kothr Jamal, confirmed that Dr. Seymour had given himself to the service of students of science and to meet their needs, and to overcome their educational difficulties, through the establishment of numerous projects that served students of science and knowledge, including the extensive scientific, cultural and social services provided by the Egyptian-Azerbaijian Friendship Society.
He added that Dr. Seymour was a model and a lead, the best representative of students arriving in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and his country in Azerbaijan, stressing that his utilization had not ceased at a certain level, but that everyone continued to learn from him and to benefit from his knowledge and experience without prejudice.
For his part, Dr. Seymour Nasirov paid sincere thanks and appreciation to the Indian Students ' Union for this beautiful gesture, emphasizing that any honor was an increase in duties and responsibility, and that this tribute was not only a tribute to his person, but to anyone who sought to serve science students.
Lastly, he thanked all those present, emphasizing that the service of students of science was a great honour.
Dr. Seymour Nasirov, President of the Azerbaijani community in Egypt, President of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian-Azerbaijani Friendship Society, Member of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Arts of Cairo University, has served students of science for over 25 years, i.e. before graduation in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in 2002.
A number of decorations, medals, shields and certificates of appreciation have been received from several States, institutions and bodies, in recognition of their scientific and cultural contributions; the first-class medal of science and art, His Excellency President Abdelfattah Al-Sissi of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in 2025, is one of the highest features given an appreciation of outstanding contributions to science and culture.
Egyptian Friendship Society of Azerbaijan
It should be noted that the Egyptian-Azerbaijian Friendship Society currently has more than 670 students of 61 nationalities, of whom some half are Egyptians, who benefit from various educational and cultural programmes, including the study of the 10 micro- and macro readers of the Holy Quran in Sind connected to Sydna Muhammad Sa ' llah, Alah and Salim, as well as Arabic language sciences, from the direction, bank, literature, communication, lus.
The programmes also include artistic and cultural activities, including the Arab and Zakra lines, education in the Azerbaijani and English languages, as well as art in the manual carpet industry and audio dictionaries, and literacy through a programme for children.
All these programmes are provided free of charge, from the Assembly ' s message of support to students of science and knowledge, believing that the service of science is a human and community responsibility that contributes to building conscious and qualified generations to serve their nations.
