Security forces sealed off al-Azhar Street, the main artery through which the convoy passed. The audience was welcomed by Dr. Abdulhadi Al Qasabi, Sheikh of Sufi Roads, who is present annually at this traditional event. The parade shows the devotion of Sufis to the occasion, with participants waving flags and chanting anthems and wailing their joy.
