The Minister of Housing meets with the head of the social housing fund to follow up on the executive position of all Egyptians.

The Engineer Randa Al-Shaawi, Minister of Housing, Facilities and Urban Communities, held a meeting with the Executive Chairman of the Social Housing Fund, Mi Abdul Hamid, to support real estate financing to follow up on the position of the Presidential Initiative ' s units, the residence of all Egyptians, and the position of registration on Egypt ' s digital platform for alternative housing units to address the old rental law, in the presence of Ministry officials

During the meeting, the Fund ' s Executive Chairman reviewed the overall operational position of the income-limited units under the Presidential Initiative on the Housing of All Egyptians, with 788 thousand housing units completed, 216 thousand housing units being completed, as well as 36,000.

The meeting also addressed the position on the implementation of the Green Housing Initiative, which is a total of 54.6 thousand low-income units in phases V and VI, as well as a review of the position of the average housing units being implemented in total by 28 thousand housing units in a number of new governorates and cities.
During the meeting, Engineer Randa Al-Shiqawi stressed the need to intensify field visits to the sites to ensure that housing units were quickly completed and handed over to needy citizens at the highest level, depending on the specifications.

The volume of land finance for low-income citizens of 670 thousand beneficiaries, valued at £95 billion (real finance), £10.4 billion (cash support) was also reviewed through 22 banks and 8 funding companies, and the total amount of mortgage financing for middle-income citizens was £13.3 billion through 10 banks and 4 funding companies, as well as a review of performance indicators, and a system of procedure for the judicial meeting of housing irregularities.

During the meeting, the Minister followed up the position of registration of citizens through the Egyptian Digital Platform, as part of updating the comprehensive database of cases under the old Lease Act, where applications were received until 12 April 2026. In this regard, the Minister directed the intensification of awareness-raising and technical support campaigns for citizens to ensure proper and accurate data registration.
