Optical artificial intelligence helps in how to preserve the environment and recognize wildlife and classify them into different groups. By applying object detection to images and video footage from camera and drone traps, computer vision models such as Ultralytics YOLOv8 accurately identify different types, even in challenging conditions. The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in wildlife research is of great importance, revolutionizing traditional surveillance and protection methods, making them more efficient, accurate and effective. The application of artificial intelligence (AI) is of great importance in wildlife research and environmental protection, providing effective and accurate tools that were not available in traditional ways. Its importance is reflected in several key aspects:
1. To efficiently monitor wildlife and ecosystems by:
-Automatic species identification: AI-supported image recognition technologies help in the automatic and rapid detection of animal-animal-based biosensing mega-hazards. Human-animal long-range sensors and sensors can quickly survey and collect data. Tracking patterns: AI algorithms help to analyze animal migration patterns across large geographical areas and understand their behaviours and needs.
2. Combating poaching and illegal activities
