A workshop for the protection of the profession from intruders was recently launched at the Conference of Doctors ' S Subsidiary Trade Unions, where the workshop was chaired by Dr. Sulayed Jenina, the Rapporteur of the workshop, Dr. Mohamed Ajran, and the secretary of the workshop, Dr. Shadi Safot.
Dr. Sa ' ad Jenina, President of the Egyptian Association of Medicines for therapeutic Nutrition, reviewed an accurate autopsy, revealing the scale of intrusion into the health system and the direct threat posed by the phenomenon to the safety of patients and the medical profession.
It noted that penetration methods and impersonation include:
– Explicitly impersonating a doctor.
– Some health professions have exceeded their legal jurisdiction
– Provision of medical consultations through social media without qualifications or authorization.
– Use of misleading scientific certificates or titles.
Dr. Sa ' ad Jenina stressed that one of the most notable gaps in the expansion of the phenomenon of intruders was legislative and regulatory gaps, which included weak field control, weak or strict non-implementation of existing sanctions, and slow legal procedures in cases of medical incapacity.
There were numerical and technical gaps, including the easy establishment of pages and platforms that provided medical content without verification, and the absence of an easy and effective mechanism to verify the identity of the doctor.
Community gaps
Community gaps included low community awareness of the seriousness of receiving service from non-specialists.
