Ambassador Tariq Dehrog of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the French Republic, at the headquarters of the Egyptian embassy in Paris, received the Egyptian Special Olympics mission participating in the World Cup of Private Olympics (Paris 2026) in an official reception in recognition of the honourable results achieved by the Mission, in the first place qualifying Egypt ' s soccer to the final championship.
The reception was attended by Engineer Ayman Abdul Wahab, Regional President of the International Special Olympics for the Middle East and North Africa, Professor Khalil Mohamed, Head of the Central Department for Persons with Disabilities of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Dr. Cherif Foli, Head of the Middle East and North Africa International Olympics Games and Competition Sector, Professor Amr Mohiddin Al-Tahawai, Head of the Egyptian Mission, and Professor Dalymbe Bder of the Principal Company.
The reception was also attended by Professor Dr. Ikarami Al-Amalm, Technical Director of the Mission, Capt. Aboufat Azzat, a woman-elected trainer, as well as elected female players: Ndi Syed, Rowan Walid, Fatima Tariq, Hager Mohamed, Tsnim Ahmed, the names of Mr. and the names of the co-workers: Wafa Rabibah al-Ah, Jenna Ahmed, Shim Ali, Shim Ali, Salma Ali, Salma al-Kram and Zah.
Ambassador Tariq Dharg welcomed the members of the Mission, expressing his pride at the achievements of the heroes and heroes of the Egyptian Special Olympics, reflecting the honourable image of the Egyptian State, stressing that the Egyptian embassy in Paris was keen to provide all support and care to the Mission and to provide the appropriate climate that would help it to continue to achieve successes and lift Egypt ' s name in international forums.
The Ambassador stressed that Egypt ' s unifying football provider for women during the championship was an honourable model of will and determination, reflecting the Egyptian State ' s great interest in empowering and integrating persons with intellectual disabilities in various areas, including sport.
For his part, Engineer Ayman Abdul Wahab, Regional President of the International Special Olympics for the Middle East and North Africa, confirmed that Egypt ' s unified football for women at the World Cup Championship in Paris was a source of pride for the Special Olympics movement in the Middle East and North Africa region, reflecting the significant development of the Special Olympics programmes in the region, thanks to continued investment in the preparation of players, the rehabilitation of professional cadres and the promotion of the concept of sport.
Abdul Wahab concluded his statements by emphasizing that the championship provided a global model of the values of integration, acceptance and diversity, expressing his confidence in the ability of Egypt ' s elector to continue to provide a performance suited to the status of the region, and wishing to reconcile all elected participants at the conclusion of the championship.
For his part, Khalil Mohamed, Head of the Central Department for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, explained that the level of performance of the team in the World Cup for the Unified Clan was a source of pride and pride for all Egyptians and the Arab world.
Mr. Tariq Dehrog ' s interest in visiting the Egyptian Olympic Special Mission at its residence and in hosting the Egyptian Mission at the headquarters of the Egyptian Embassy in France was a positive step, reflecting the interest of the Egyptian State in all its institutions and its support for young athletes with disabilities.
