Dr. Maya Marcy, Minister of Social Solidarity, held a meeting with Mr. Osama bin Saleh, Minister of Social Development of the Kingdom of Bahrain, via videoconferencing, in the presence of Ms. Deena Al-Safi, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity for International Cooperation, International Relations and Agreements, and Professor Princess Tajdin, Director-General of the Department of Public Relations and Conventions.
The Ministers initiated the meeting by congratulating on the occasion of the New Hungarian Year, asking the Lord Ali Al-Qaeda to make it a year of goodness and blessing on the Arab and Islamic nations.
The meeting discussed strengthening cooperation between the two ministries, within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed in the area of social affairs.
Dr. Maya Mercy, Minister of Social Solidarity, emphasized the depth of relations between the two sister countries, encouraging cooperation and coordination with the Minister for Social Development of the Kingdom of Bahrain, both bilaterally and at the level of the League of Arab States, noting that the next period would see enhanced cooperation within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two ministries in the area of social affairs.
The Minister of Social Solidarity explained that the Memorandum of Understanding was comprehensive and integrated, including a set of core areas that were well established priorities between the two ministries, namely social welfare, persons with disabilities, productive families, children, older persons, social safety nets, financial inclusion of the most-favoured groups, community institutions and volunteering.
For his part, Mr. Osama bin Saleh Al-Ali, Minister of Social Development of the Kingdom of Bahrain, paid much attention to cooperation and constant coordination with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, emphasizing that he relied heavily on the Memorandum of Understanding between the two Ministries for the benefit and exchange of experiences in common areas of work.
The meeting concluded by emphasizing the speed of work to strengthen cooperation within the framework of the memorandum of understanding, and by holding periodic meetings between representatives of the two ministries in their respective areas of specialization in order to achieve the benefits and exchange of experiences in the interest of citizens in both sister countries.
