The General Secretariat of the Islamic Research Academy in Al-Azhar announced the opportunity for those wishing to apply for the General Contest for the 2025/2026 academic year, which will start from September 5 to September 20, 2025. The announcement comes as an opportunity to participate in a competition aimed at promoting education and religious education in the Muslim world.
Application Requirements
Participation in this competition is limited to males only, in accordance with the directives of the concerned authorities and the IFAD Regulation No. 16 of 2025. Applicants are required to have been engaged within Al-Azhar continuously for a minimum of three years.
Additional conditions for applicants
- Financial Appointment: The applicant must be assigned a financial degree in Al-Azhar budget.
- Educational experienceApplicants in education and advocacy must have spent a minimum of three years in the field.
- Performance scoreJob performance reports in the previous two years must be at least 90 points.
Military and health requirements
The applicant is required to have performed military service or been permanently exempted from it, and in case of temporary exemption, the approval of the armed forces is required. It must also be certified by an accredited government hospital.
Special Qualifications
Applicants must have a good reputation, as they cannot have been disciplined or held accountable. In addition, persons with disabilities and blind persons are allowed to apply, as they are guaranteed special procedures to facilitate testing.

The application requires filling out a form from Al-Azhar’s online portal and attaching all necessary documents such as certified job statements, performance reports, and personal photos. Incomplete or late submissions will be automatically disqualified.
