"A strategic partnership between Egypt and Sudan to boost exports of mining industries to global markets"

The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Wealth, engineer Karim Badoui, Minister of Sudanese Metals Nour Al-Doum Taha, Ambassador Omar El Faouk, Deputy Sudanese Ambassador in Cairo, as well as the accompanying delegation, which included representatives of Sudanese companies and institutions operating in Cairo Mining areaThe development of cooperation between Egypt and the Sudan in the mining and value-added industries has been discussed.

During the meeting, the Minister of Petroleum pointed out that there were enormous opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the exploitation of rich natural resources, which enhanced the common interest, and emphasized the possibility of strengthening the partnership in mining industries to increase interest in Sudanese raw materials and raise value added, which would open the doors to greater export opportunities to global markets.

Egypt ' s petroleum and mining sector was planning to establish specialized schools for training cadres in mining, as well as advanced research and studies aimed at supporting the development of that vital sector in the country.

For his part, the Minister of Minerals of the Sudan stressed the importance of strengthening strategic cooperation with Egypt, noting his country ' s desire that Egypt be a gateway to the marketing of its minerals to world markets, which would contribute to the integration of the two countries and strengthen their position on the international scene.

He also looked forward to making use of Egypt ' s advanced mining expertise and techniques, with a view to creating a multiple platform for productive cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to form joint task forces to exchange experiences and explore future opportunities for cooperation, through training and technology transfer, with a clear timeline and mechanism to ensure effective cooperation for both countries and companies operating in the sector.
