Mostafa Mahmood Bel-Engine Mosque on Saturday witnessed the majestic funeral of the late artist Sumaya Al-Alfi, who passed away at the age of 72 after a struggle with illness.

The funeral was attended by a large number of art stars, including the artist Mahmoud Hamida, the artist Afaf Rashad, the captain of the acting professions Ashraf Zaki, and Munir Makram, a member of the union council. His son, Umar al-Fishawi, recited verses from the Qur’an in a moving farewell.

She married artist Ahmed al-Fishawi, and gave birth to Ahmed and Maryam. Known for her multiple marriages, she also married director Sameh al-Bajuri and Mohamed Khalil.

She died on December 20, 2025, at the age of 72, after a struggle with the disease. Her body is from Mustafa Mahmoud Mosque.
