The American Ambassador to Egypt, Hiro Mustafa Garg, celebrated the seventieth anniversary of the founding of the American Centre in Cairo (ACC), officially announced the launch of the activities of America250, the 250-year celebration of the independence of the United States. The United States Center has, through decades, formed a bridge for communication between the Egyptian and American peoples and played a pivotal role in the partnership between the two countries, which continues to be the honour of the United States Regional Security Centre.

Since its founding in 1955, the American Centre has provided resources and programmes that have enabled Egyptian generations to enhance their skills in the areas of education, entrepreneurship and innovation. From language proficiency to technology training, the Centre has helped its pioneers to acquire important skills, expand their professional networks and achieve personal and professional development.

The celebration also witnessed the honour of the American Centre ' s partners, including the Egyptian Society for Culture and Community Development (ESCD), Amdest, the American University of Cairo (AUC) and the Egyptian Public Library, as well as other local and international partners, which contributed significantly to the support of the Centre ' s mission and the expansion of its services throughout Egypt.

Ambassador Mustafa Garg said during the ceremony: " For 70 years, the American Centre was approached by Cairo between Egyptians and Americans; today this centre launches our historic campaign America250, and we look forward to working with our friends in the public and private sectors of Egypt to celebrate American discrimination and to highlight the depth and continuity of the relationship between the United States and Egypt in the areas of trade, education, security and sport. "

The America 250-year campaign will highlight a 250-year history of discrimination, innovation and American values and will celebrate more than 100 years of friendship and partnership between Egypt and the United States.

The events of America250 continue on 5 December with an efficiency hosted by the embassies of the United States, Mexico and Canada in Cairo on the occasion of the 2026th World Cup Cup, to be held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Theatre Arts in Washington, D.C. On 6 December, the celebrations of America250 are proceeding to the shortest for the opening of a new American pillar in the Egyptian Public Library.—The first United States Embassy programme centre in Egypt, and the embassy will host a cultural and educational effectiveness entitled "Pop-Up USA" in the Temple of the Shortest on the same day.
