
Qualcomm Technologies announced the acquisition of Italian open source electronics platform Arduino. The move, though undisclosed, is a milestone in the tech world that seeks to excel in amateur software and developers.
Qualcomm says in an official statement that the Arduino brand, with all of its educational tools, will remain independent. The platform will continue to provide microcontrollers and processors using segments from multiple companies, reflecting Qualcomm’s commitment to supporting innovation and development.
As part of this announcement, Arduino also revealed the new painting. «UNO Q» Combining the power of the Qualcomm Dragonwing QRB2210 processor and modern consoles, it becomes the perfect tool for developers. The panel is based on the Debian Linux system and allows connectivity to devices such as the keyboard, mouse, and monitor via a USB-C port, making it ideal for light AI projects.

UNO Q is capable of implementing artificial intelligence models in real time, facilitating the development of innovative solutions based on the response of the surrounding environment. The board comes with App Lab, an all-in-one store for managing Arduino software projects using Python.
The tablet costs $44, and is available for booking, making it easy for developers to access this cutting-edge technology. Qualcomm has confirmed that the acquisition will open doors for more than 33 million Arduino users to access its advanced technologies.
Nakul Dugal, general manager of Qualcomm Automotive and Internet Group, said that integrating Arduino’s open philosophy with Qualcomm’s technologies will enable developers to innovate more efficiently and quickly, paving the way for their projects to expand globally.
