Dr. Maya Marcy, Minister of Social Solidarity, is following the experimental launch of the Diarna Handicrafts and Heritage exhibit, under the slogan of Egypt speaking verbatim, in the Marina 4 area of the North Coast, in preparation for the official opening scheduled for 9 July, which is ongoing and continues until 31 August next.
More than 450 exhibits and exhibitions participate in the exhibition, which aims to empower artisans and support productive families, as well as to bring about a qualitative shift in the realities of productive families, through the adoption of a sustainable economic empowerment approach to build an integrated economic system that ensures the integration of artisans into competitive markets and the strengthening of their financial independence.
The exhibition participants present the local handicrafts that tell Egyptian heritage stories, namely carpet, kilm, coloured and inhaled glass, dive products, fabrics and cotton clothing, oxyrus and silver, wood and copper products, leather, leather and other environment-friendly heritage products from productive families, productive cooperatives and a rural support fund.
The exhibition also sees many services that are suited to the northern coast and the summer environment, and all means of procurement will be provided to visitors from automated machines, as well as free Internet service within the exhibition for exhibits and visitors.
