I'm starting to read. Sometimes she seems to me farther away from her, like she's quietly withdrawing from our daily lives without paying attention.
Till I got back to that first moment when we didn't read books as much as we lived inside.
It is not a book that provides other work and diverse visions, to the extent that the reading itself is reconsidered; the texts are not treated as material for presentation or licences, but as factors that regain their impact on us.
In this work of the great journalist Mustafa Abdallah, books and experiments emerge from their neutrality to become living beings to be seen, and criticism approaches reading so that they touch rather than rely on them.

How happy and surprised I was when I came to my memory in this context, but then I did not stop as a personal circumvention, but as part of a broader fabric that links books to their readers and to the memory that shapes them, so gratitude here seemed to be double: for the writer, and for the way he relights what we think has turned out in our relationship.
Not a book about books, it's about the exact distance that we're reading back when you're able to be a living experience that's been told and lived.
