The Bank of Cairo announced its renewal of the certificate of compliance with PCI-DSS data security standards v4.0.1, which is one of the most prominent international certificates specialized in securing bank card statements and protecting electronic payment transactions from cyber hazards and threats, in cooperation with Zerosploit, the cybersecurity partner, who provided technical and advisory support to the Cairo Bank throughout the certification trip.
This achievement underscores the Bank ' s success in building an advanced cybersecurity system based on state-of-the-art global techniques and standards, thus enhancing the Bank ' s ability to protect customer data and secure digital transactions with high efficiency and reliability, with the growing expansion of electronic banking services and the rapid digital transformation within the banking sector.
The renewal of the certificate reflects the Bank ' s desire to develop its technological infrastructure on a sustainable basis, to apply an integrated system of security controls and procedures that ensure the protection of payment card data, to reduce the risk of fraud and electronic penetration, as well as to enhance the levels of readiness and respond to evolving cyber threats.
In this context, the President ' s exemplary and the member assigned to the Cairo Bank confirmed that the renewal of the certificate was a new step within the Bank ' s strategy to enhance cybersecurity and strengthen customer confidence in the digital services provided by the Bank, noting that the protection of customer data was a top priority for the Bank in its vision of a secure and advanced digital banking experience.
The Bank continued to invest in modernizing its digital infrastructure and adopting the latest cyberprotection solutions and techniques, ensuring that global developments in information security were kept pace with and enhancing the Bank ' s ability to respond to cyber-hazards proactively.
For his part, Ahmed Abdul Hamid, Executive Chairman of Zerosploit, stated that the renewal of PCI-DSS v4.0.1 by the Cairo Bank reflected a clear commitment to apply the highest international standards for the protection of payment card data and the safeguarding of the digital transaction environment. The certification trip was based on a precise assessment methodology and an integrated understanding of the requirements of the standard, as well as effective cooperation with the Bank ' s teams to ensure that security controls were ready and that the audit requirements were fulfilled efficiently and that the Bank ' s audit requirements would enhance the Bank ' s credibility.
As the President of the Bank Cairo Risk Management Group, Hall Al-Qa ' a, stated that the Bank was adopting an integrated framework for the management of cyber and technological risks, relying on ongoing risk assessment, strengthening preventive controls and upgrading the efficiency of follow-up and monitoring systems, supporting business continuity and maintaining digital asset security and client data.
In the same vein, Engineer Amorou, like the head of the information security sector in Cairo, emphasized that the renewal of the certificate reflects the Bank ' s ongoing efforts to develop the information security system, by modernizing security systems and applying the latest protection, control and threat response tools, to ensure that the highest levels of safety and confidence in digital banking services are maintained and that the Bank ' s investments are maximized in advanced cybersecurity solutions as well as in the human components of cybersecurity.
The renewal of the certificate was followed by a thorough review and scrutiny of the Bank ' s technological systems and applications, which confirmed the full commitment of the Bank of Cairo to all the requirements of PCI-DSS v4.0.1, thereby enhancing its position as a leading banking institution in providing secure and advanced digital financial services
