The Bank of Egypt signed a protocol of cooperation with a Baha ' i Foundation for Early Detection and Free Breast Cancer Treatment to provide support of Pound45 million for the equipping of an X-ray room at the Bahai Sheikh Zayed Hospital, which would enhance the hospital ' s ability to absorb more patients.

Supporting breast cancer fighters
The signing of the Protocol is part of the Bank ' s concern to supplement hospital support and support for breast cancer fighters. Support is aimed at equipping a CT radiation room at the Bhaiya Sheikh Zayed Hospital, which assists the system in the accuracy of diagnosis within diagnostic radiology tests, the identification of tumours and the determination of their prevalence.
Sustainable development
Hisham Akashah, Executive Chairman of the Bank of Egypt, confirmed that the signing of the Protocol reflected the Bank ' s commitment to its strategic vision as a key partner in achieving sustainable development. The Bank considered investment in health and education to be one of the most important pillars of real development. Support for an Baha ' i hospital came from the belief of the Bank of Egypt that health was an inherent right of every citizen, and that women ' s empowerment and support for breast cancer fighters were an integral part of society.

Noting the Bank ' s concern to integrate Egypt ' s vision of 2030 into all its initiatives, which places at the heart of its priorities the quality of health services and ensure that they are accessible to all citizens with justice and efficiency, he stressed that the Bank was endeavouring to extend its community contributions to the State ' s role in building a capable and dignified human being, and that the Bank of Egypt would continue its efforts to support health and educational projects that would contribute to social justice and raise the standard of living only in the hope of people.
