Cairo hosted the events of the Sixth International Conference on the Safety of Arab Food, organized by the Arab Union for the Development of Aerial Communities in cooperation with the Scientific Assembly of Food Industries, entitled: «Contemporary challenges to food safety and sustainable solutions in Arab food industrialization - towards safe food for all»With the participation of officials, diplomats and experts from Egypt and a number of Arab, Islamic and African States.

Challenges and risks
Dr. Adel Rahmah, President of the Organization, stressed that the Conference was at a very important time in view of the increasing challenges and risks faced by the food industry, explaining that its meetings discussed ways to address those challenges through sustainable solutions that supported digital transformation and the employment of modern techniques in food industrialization, as well as enhanced cooperation between industry and scientific research institutions. He also stressed the importance of fostering a culture of food conscience and professional responsibility as a fundamental pillar of Arab food security.

The Conference had recommended the application of food quality and safety systems, the expansion of green industrialization and waste management, the consolidation of standard specifications and Arab legislation to support Arab integration, as well as capacity-building and human competence development, and the strengthening of industrial and research partnerships to achieve a safe and sustainable Arab food system.

Patriotic anthem.
Engineer Tawfik Amer, member of the Board of Directors of the Organization, opened the work of the Conference with Egyptian national anthem, noting that the Conference was a scientific and dialogue platform that brought together decision-makers, regulators, manufacturers, researchers and academics to discuss current challenges and develop practical and sustainable solutions, particularly in the context of the complexity of food supply chains and the increasing health and environmental risks, and stressed that food safety had become the issue of national security, public health and a fundamental pillar of economic stability and sustainable development.
