The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) ended trading on Sunday on a positive note, as market indices rose thanks to increased domestic purchases. The EGX 30 المؤشر, which includes the 30 largest listed companies, achieved a remarkable 0.53% increase to 35,811.88 points.
The EGX 70 index for small and medium-sized stocks also rose 0.38%, closing at 10,708.58. The EGX 100 index was not far behind this trend, increasing 0.41% to 14,341.12.
In terms of trading volume, it was worth EGP 3.783 billion, with 102,932 trades executed. The Egyptian Stock Exchange’s market capitalization also shows a significant rise, reaching EGP 2.491 trillion.

During the session, the shares of 113 companies rose, while 79 companies witnessed a decline, while 22 companies remained unchanged. The exchange data shows that individuals accounted for 81.41% of the total transactions, while institutions accounted for only 18.58%.
Investor Movement
On the investor side, Arab investors accounted for 2.99% of total trades, while foreigners recorded 2.93%. However, local investors, who recorded transactions towards the purchase of 85.779 million pounds, prevailed against Arab and foreign sales of 21.073 million and 64.705 million pounds, respectively.
