On December 6, the U.S. Embassy in Egypt launched the "Pop-Up USA" event in Luxor. This new initiative is a mobile platform aimed at providing American cultural, educational and sports activities in various Egyptian cities. The program, located in the famous Luxor Temple Square, offered a wide range of activities that celebrate American culture, highlight the partnership between the United States and Egypt, and introduce the people of Upper Egypt to educational and cultural opportunities sponsored by the US Embassy.

Pop-Up USA is part of the U.S. Embassy’s celebration of the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence and highlights the more than 100-year friendship between the American and Egyptian peoples.

US Ambassador to Egypt Hero Mustafa Garg said: "The launch of Pop-Up USA in Luxor reflects our deep appreciation of Egypt’s rich cultural heritage and embodies our commitment to connecting directly with communities across the country.

This inaugural event in Luxor is only the beginning of America250, with which we plan to launch PPop-Up America’ events in all the provinces of this beautiful country. I look forward to visiting every province in Egypt.

Visitors to Pop-Up USA in Luxor were introduced to a variety of opportunities offered by the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, including professional and academic exchange programs, English language learning support, and academic advising.

Visitors also took part in a football training event highlighting the 2026 World Cup hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

It concluded today with a free concert at Luxor Temple by American singer Samantha Takes and Egyptian artist Ahmed El Hajjar with the participation of Cairo Big Band Society.
