The Egyptian Tax Authority, headed by Rasha Abdel-Aal, has launched a demonstration video for financiers. The topic revolves around the financiers' commitment to digital transformation and the start of dealing with the electronic receipt and invoice system, and explains the steps that the financier must follow to register successfully, which is divided into two main stages:
First: Registration on the electronic invoice system
Registration is done either by commission or by self-registration. The basic steps include:
Digital Seal: A prerequisite for electronic billing.
Go to the commission (or authorization): For financiers whose registration requires intervention from the competent commission, where an application for registration is submitted with the required documents (such as national ID card, tax card, letter of authorization).
Self-registration and completing data:
The company receives an email invitation from the Commissioner.
Access the link attached in the invitation and complete the company data and the main administrative commissioner.
The administrative commissioner can add other commissioners with different powers to the system.
Coding: standardizing the codes of goods and services traded using an approved coding system (such as GPC).
Second: Registration on the electronic receipt system
After registering on the electronic invoice system, the financier can join the electronic receipt system that deals with the end consumer, including the following steps:
Profile update: Log into the taxpayer profile on the invoice portal.
Addendum «Receipts» Click on "Edit" and select "Receipts" within the required documents for submission, then click on «Save»[ ]
Issuance of receipts: through point of sale (POS) certified devices or through mobile applications.
