Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, received a comprehensive report today on the achievements of National Development Project Society, known as «Your Project»from its inception in 2015 to the end of September 2025. This is part of the state’s efforts to empower youth and women economically.
He said that the program «Your Project» It has achieved remarkable success, financing about 228,000 small and medium-sized projects across the country, with a total loan amount of EGP 36 billion. This has contributed to the creation of 1.5 million direct and indirect jobs for youth and women in cities and villages.
The minister stressed that the program comes in response to the directives of the political leadership to strengthen the role of small and medium enterprises, which are the mainstay of economic growth and sustainable job creation. She pointed out that «Your Project» It is a financing and development tool that contributes to enhancing the ability of young people to integrate into the labor market and encourage them to be self-employed and productive.
Sohag topped the list of provinces
The report showed that the province of Sohag topped the list of provinces with 24.6 thousand projects, benefiting from loans worth 5 billion pounds, which provided about 164,000 jobs. Minya Governorate followed with 24.3 thousand projects with loans estimated at 3.5 billion pounds, which created 160 thousand jobs, then the lake with 20.5 thousand projects with loans worth 2 billion pounds, which created about 104.4 thousand jobs. Dakahlia recorded 18.9 thousand projects with loans worth 2.4 billion pounds, creating 109,000 jobs.
Plans to expand into a program «Your Project»
The Minister of Local Development revealed plans to expand the program «Your Project» During the coming period, by increasing the number of offices deployed in the villages and centers of the Republic, the support service will reach as many young people and women as possible. She stressed that the initiative is not limited to funding only, but includes providing technical and marketing support to beneficiaries through the program offices located in all governorates.
She added that she regularly follows up implementation rates in the provinces, and works to remove any obstacles that may face young people who are diligent in implementing their projects, to ensure their success and continuity.
The minister stressed the importance of intensifying awareness and training activities to inform citizens about opportunities «Your Project»Provide feasibility studies for small and medium enterprises, and support entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into real projects that contribute to increasing production and generating new jobs.
