National Bank of Egypt (NBE) is introducing a new set of savings certificates that range from fixed, tiered and variable returns, offering savings periods ranging from 3 to 5 years, giving customers great flexibility in choosing the most suitable vessels for their financial goals.
This comes after the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) decided to reduce the interest rate by 1%, in a move aimed at achieving monetary balance and controlling liquidity in the market, while continuing to provide savings products suitable for different customer segments.
Platinum Certificate with Monthly Graded Return
Minimum purchase: 1000 EGP
Duration: 3 years
Payout: Monthly
Rate of return: 21% in the first year, 16.75% in the second year and 13.5% in the third year
The bank offers the possibility of borrowing under the Platinum Certificate or issuing credit cards of all types, with the possibility of redemption after 6 months from the date of purchase. This certificate is characterized by a graduated return that gives depositors a high return in the first year, with a stable return in the following years.
Platinum certificate with annual graded return
Minimum purchase: 1000 EGP
Duration: 3 years
Payout: Annual
Rate of return: 23% in the first year, 18.5% in the second year and 14% in the third year
This certificate is aimed at customers who want to achieve high annual return with stable income over the savings period, with the possibility of redemption after 6 months from the date of purchase.
Platinum Certificate with Monthly Fixed Return

Duration: 3 years
Payout: Monthly
Rate of Return: 17% per annum
This certificate is one of the most stable savings vessels, providing a fixed monthly income for the duration of the certificate, with the possibility of borrowing and refunding according to the conditions in force at NCB.
Platinum Certificate with Variable Return

Minimum purchase: 1000 EGP
Return: 21.25% quarterly variable
The return is linked to the deposit rate with the Central Bank of Egypt (Bid Corridor) plus 0.25%. This certificate provides flexibility for depositors to take advantage of any future interest rate increases.
5-year certificate with a fixed return

Return: 14.25% Monthly Fixed
This certificate is long-term and is suitable for clients looking for a stable investment over five years, with the possibility of recovery after 6 months.
Egyptian Security Certificate
Duration: 3 years
Purchase category: EGP 500 and its multipliers up to EGP 2,500
Return: 13% per annum
Gather Certificate «Aman Egyptians» Between savings and insurance, as it includes a life insurance policy without medical examination for the age group of 18 to 59 years, with compensation up to 50 thousand pounds in the case of natural death, and 250 thousand pounds in the case of death by accident.
