
In a painful incident on Friday, we lost two precious lives and three other people were injured in a car crash in Wadi Natrun in the province of Beheira.
Major General Mohamed Amara, the lake’s security director, received a report from the police about the incident on Kilo 84 of the desert road linking Cairo to Alexandria, within the scope of Wadi Natrun Center.
The incident resulted in the deaths of 26-year-old Farha Mahmoud Abdel Moneim and 46-year-old Samia Mohammed. Their bodies were transferred to the preservation refrigerator at Wadi Natrun Specialist Hospital, under the supervision of the Public Prosecution.
The incident also resulted in the injury of three women: Manal Mohammed al-Abassi, 55, Lamis Ibrahim Mustafa, who is not more than five years old, and Rehab Fathi al-Sayed, 26, all from Qalyubia governorate. The injured were taken to Wadi Natrun hospital for necessary treatment.
The necessary minutes have been written to begin the investigation, to reveal the circumstances of the accident and its causes, in light of the high concerns about road safety and traffic accidents affecting the community.
This incident reflects the urgent need to improve traffic safety measures and raise awareness among drivers, ensuring the safety of all and reducing tragic traffic accidents.
