On Tuesday, Dr. Abdalhallim Flam, Captain of Lawyers and President of the Arab Bar Association, met with Chancellor Mahmoud Ami Al-Sharif, Minister of Justice, in very sensitive time, to examine a number of files and cases related to the judicial system.
The meeting was held to discuss the most notable problems facing both lawyers and litigants. Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing institutional dialogue between the Ministry of Justice and the Bar Association, as the best way to overcome current challenges, and to work towards the formulation of viable practical solutions, ensuring that justice was achieved and that the burden was reduced from citizens, while preserving the standing of the lawyer ' s profession as a fundamental pillar of justice.
An expanded meeting was agreed during the coming week, in the presence of H.E. the Minister of Justice and the Bar Captain, together with some Assistants of the Minister of Justice, to examine and arrange operational steps during the coming period, both at the level of modifying some procedures and issuing regulatory guidance that would contribute to containing the various crises and problems raised, reflecting a serious orientation towards reforming the litigation environment and enhancing its efficiency.
