The WE School of Applied Technology in the City of Thur in the Province of South Sinai was launched during the school year 2023/2024 as one of the modern educational models aimed at developing a new generation of specialized technical personnel in the areas of communications and information technology, as part of the State ' s efforts to develop technical education and link it to the needs of the labour market.
The school is the result of cooperation between the Ministries of Communications, Information Technology, Education and Technical Education, in partnership with the Egyptian Communications Company, with a view to providing an integrated educational environment that combines academic study with practical training, ensuring that students are equipped with real skills consistent with the requirements of the local, regional and international labour market, in accordance with the data of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
The study continues at school for three years, during which students receive the basic curriculum adopted by the Ministry of Education, along with advanced specialized materials, including communications, software development, website design and management, networks, information security, data analysis and artificial intelligence, as well as digital arts
School graduates receive a technical diploma for applied technology schools (technical secondary), which qualify them for technological colleges, industrial education colleges and colleges, as well as engineering, computers, information and artificial intelligence colleges after the equation tests have been conducted, as well as opportunities to attend applied arts and fine arts.
Distinguished students also receive certified international certificates, as well as expert certificates from the Egyptian telecommunications company and professional certificates from specialized companies in the communications and information technology sector, thereby enhancing their opportunities in the labour market.
The school contributes to the preparation of qualified graduates with advanced technical skills, capable of competition in the areas of digital work, supporting the State ' s orientation towards the development of technical education and its transformation into a basic course for the preparation of qualified personnel for modern digital economy requirements.
