Mohamed El Etribi, Chief Executive Officer of National Bank of Egypt, said that the bank is a key partner in the sustainable development process in Egypt, where it places community service at the top of its priorities within its overall strategy for social responsibility. In this role, the bank stems from its deep belief in its national responsibility and its duty to support the state’s efforts to achieve comprehensive development, stressing the bank’s keenness to contribute effectively to improving the quality of life of citizens, especially the most-at-need and most-need segments of the people of the various governorates.

For her part, Dina Abu Taleb, Head of Marketing and Community Development at NBE, said that this initiative reflects the bank’s strategy to achieve a significant positive impact on the community through partnerships with leading national institutions such as the National Council for Women and the Foundation for a dignified life, which is reflected in building a cohesive society, in addition to improving the quality of life of citizens.

The convoy continues for four consecutive days, in the presence of Major General Mohammed Al-Banna, President of the city of Shalatin, Magda Hanna, Deputy Governor of the Red Sea, Nashwa Al-Hofi, member of the National Council for Women, Mohammed Hussein, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Engineer Mahmoud Allam, Assistant Executive Director of the Foundation for a dignified life, Colonel Ahmed Najm, Director of the region of the border offices of the Foundation for a dignified life, in addition to a team and volunteers from all partners and a number of the governorate.

The convoy includes many activities, where the NCW participates in the implementation of a number of awareness seminars such as "Together Awareness We Protect", "Women and the Making of Cultural Awareness" and "Family Guidance and Balanced Raising", as well as training and vocational workshops in various fields. The convoy also includes storytelling and awareness sessions for children to promote community values within their communities, in addition to the implementation of the program "Bedouin Pioneers" to train local women volunteers directly.

Ohood Wafi stressed that the Halaib, Shalatin and Abu Ramad triangle is one of the most important border areas and its impact in terms of culture and customs, and our visit comes within the framework of the state's efforts over the years in Halaib, Shalatin and Abu Ramad, adding that the fruitful cooperation between the banking sector represented by the National Bank of Egypt and the national authorities represented by the National Council for Women is part of a decent life strategy in integrating efforts to maximize the development impact.
