Poultry Division expects prices of white chicks to fall 10% for this reason

Samia al - Faqi

The President of the Duagan Division of the Chamber of Commerce expected that poultry prices in the Egyptian market would decline by up to 10 per cent over the coming days, with lower demand rates following the end of Ramadan, which saw a consumer peak that increased prices to record levels and paid consumption by more than 10 per cent over the other months.

In special statements, the market had already begun to enter a normal post-season adjustment phase, explaining that the decline in purchasing power and the decline in daily consumption of animal protein were the main factor behind the projected downward trend.

He noted that white poultry prices had been recorded on the farms at about £86 per kilo, with actual implementation at £85, while £101, and implementation at £100, while white flasks were about £12, soup at the same level, and white poultry mothers recorded about £67.

Current prices reflected the beginning of the decline compared to the Ramadan levels, during which the consumer ' s poultry prices exceeded the 100-pound barrier per kilo, as a result of increased demand and high production costs.

The head of the poultry division confirmed that the market was experiencing relative discipline during the current period, with the support of the State ' s efforts to provide tariffs and tariff breaks on production requirements, which contributed to reducing pressure on producers and ensuring the stability of the production cycle.

The continued availability of supply simultaneously with the stability of feed prices would support further gradual declines during the coming period, with the expectation that the market would experience a balance between supply and demand as the post-Ramadan season entered.
