The price of iron has recorded a price ranging from 34,500 pounds to 37,500 pounds per ton delivery of factory land for most types, while the average price at some distributors in the governorates of the Republic was about 36,000 pounds per ton, based on the price of the month and the declared fixed price, with slight differences depending on the type of factory, company and geographical distribution areas.

The price of iron in Egypt on Monday, 16-3-2026 in the factories markets, after an increase over the past days as a result of moving factories to prices recorded about 37,000 pounds.

The price of iron rose by 1,000 pounds as a result of the war in the Gulf and the high cost of shipping associated with high fuel prices.

Ahmed al-Zaini, head of the building materials division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, said that iron prices are witnessing a remarkable stability in the local market, after the recent increase in prices recorded by companies and distributors during the past period, and prices ranged from 34,500 pounds to about 37,500 pounds per ton.

Ahmed al-Zaini pointed out that some traders raised prices by 500 to 1000 pounds per ton, despite the stability of prices in factories.
