The price of iron rose by 1,000 pounds as a result of the war in the Gulf and the high cost of shipping associated with high fuel prices.
Ahmed al-Zaini, head of the building materials division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, said that iron prices are witnessing a remarkable stability in the local market, after the recent increase in prices recorded by companies and distributors during the past period, and prices ranged from 34,500 pounds to about 37,500 pounds per ton.
وأشار احمد الزيني إن بعض التجار رفعوا الاسعار بما يتراوح من 500 لـ1000 جنيه للطن الواحد رغم ثبات الاسعار في المصانع .
كما سجل سعر الحديد سعرا يتراوح من 34500 جنيه إلى 37500 جنيه للطن تسليم أرض المصنع لأغلب الأنواع، بينما بلغ متوسط السعر لدى بعض الموزعين في محافظات الجمهورية نحو 36000 جنيه للطن، وذلك بناءً على سعر الشهر والسعر الثابت المعلن، مع اختلافات طفيفة حسب نوع المصنع والشركة ومناطق التوزيع الجغرافية.
وسجل سعر طن الحديد اليوم في مصر مستويات تتراوح ما بين 34500 و37500 جنيهًا للطن تسليم أرض المصنع وفق تسعير المصانع، ليصل إلى المستهلك بزيادة تقدر بنحو 1000 جنيه في كل طن، وفقًا للمحافظة أو نوع شركات الحديد، ليبلغ في المتوسط نحو 36 ألف جنيه.
