Dr. Ahmed Fawzi: Providing 5 lines of voter transport and comprehensive facilities to ensure easy voting
The Cairo Engineers Syndicate will receive tomorrow, Friday, the engineers to cast their votes in the electoral eligibility for the year 2019, to choose their representatives on a number of vacant seats, at the headquarters of the electoral committees in Cairo Stadium, from 10 am to 5 pm.
Dr. Ahmed Fawzi, Chairman of the Elections Committee of the Cairo Engineers Syndicate, said that the committee has completed all organizational and administrative preparations to ensure the exit of the electoral process in a civilized manner that reflects the status of Cairo engineers, pointing to the provision of all means of comfort and facilitation for voters.
Fawzi explained that the committee provided buses to transport engineers through five main lines, whose paths were announced in detail through an explanatory video published on the official page of the union, in order to facilitate the arrival of voters to the voting place, to return in the same lines after the end of voting.
Places within the committees to renew the carneh and pay the fees
He added that any obstacles that may face engineers during the voting process have been overcome, stressing that the engineer can renew the union carnet on the same election day, where places were allocated within the electoral headquarters to renew the subscription and payment of fees and receive the carnet immediately, to ensure that no engineer is deprived of his electoral right due to non-renewal.
Health care provision within committees
In the same context, Fawzi stressed the provision of full health care within the headquarters of the elections in anticipation of any emergency, especially with the synchronization of the voting process with the holy month of Ramadan, and the consequences of fasting for some voters, stressing the readiness of medical teams to deal immediately with any cases.
Method of voting
On the mechanism of voting, the head of the election committee said that the engineer will receive three ballots:
The first card: especially for the election of the head of the sub-union, and the engineer chooses only one name.
The second card: for the election of the sub-union council, and the selection of 7 candidates distributed as follows:
3 electrical engineers,
2 civilians,
1 building,
1 mechanics.
Fawzi stressed the need to adhere to the specified number without increase or decrease, as the violation of the scheduled numbers leads to the invalidity of the voice.
Third Card: Especially for the people's elections, in which the following are selected:
In large cities (civil, electricity, architecture, mechanics): 5 over age and 10 under age.
In young people (chemistry - mining and petroleum - spinning and weaving): 3 above the age and 10 below the age.
The Chairman of the Committee stressed the need to fully comply with the prescribed numbers in each division so as not to expose the voice to invalidity, calling on all engineers to participate actively in this important entitlement, as an inherent right and a professional duty that contributes to shaping the future of the union and supporting its progress during the next phase.
