Eng. Tarek El Nabrawy, President of the Union of Arab Engineers, inaugurated the training program in cybersecurity, which is offered by the Engineers Syndicate, in cooperation with Palo Alto Networks, a company specialized in cybersecurity.
In his speech, the President of the Engineers expressed his happiness at the opening of the first episode of the training program, saying: "I am pleased to launch this ambitious program in cooperation with Palo Alto Networks and under the arrangement of the Communications and Information Technology Committee of the Cairo Syndicate headed by Engineer Ahmed Mehran, which is the beginning of a project that gains experience in a vital field of cybersecurity."

He pointed out that the field of cybersecurity is a modern and vital field with high technologies, and will be provided by the union to all Egyptian engineers in all their specialties, stressing that this training is a way to gain experience in preparation for their work in this field required locally and abroad, explaining that the training academy established by the union is working continuously to provide training programs to refine the expertise and information of engineers and establish recent graduates.
He said: "Training is very important and essential in the life of the engineer," stressing that the year 2026 will witness the training of 10,000 engineers in the field of cybersecurity as other training programs have been provided, including the PMP program, which trained a large number of engineers up to 9 thousand engineers during 2025, a great challenge faced by the union and succeeded in it par excellence, which is a great achievement will be a good job, and today we begin the first steps of training a similar number in the field of cybersecurity.
At the end of his speech, the President of Engineers appreciated the efforts of Engineer Ahmed Mehran to supervise the training initiative in the field of cybersecurity.
For his part, Engineer Ahmed Mehran said that the first batch of training 10,000 engineers in the field of cybersecurity is witnessing the presence of 100 trainees at the academy and online after they were selected from among 350 applicants during the progress tests, indicating that the number of 250 engineers will be presented with the program with the addition of networking basics and information technology.
Mehran pointed out that the training program in the field of cybersecurity comes in the interest of the Communications Committee to prepare a generation of engineers to keep pace with the rapid technological development, pointing out that the cooperation between the Committee and the Academy of the Syndicate is close cooperation where the Academy offers all programs at prices supported by the Syndicate and accredited certificates help to find good job opportunities for engineers.
وقال رئيس لجنة الاتصالات: “نفخر بإطلاق أولى حلقات البرنامج التدريبي بحضور ورعاية المهندس طارق النبراوي، والدكتور إيهاب أبو سيف، المدرب المعتمد من شركة (Palo Alto Networks)”، مؤكدًا أن سوق العمل المحلي والعالمي يحتاج إلى متخصصين وخبراء في مجال الأمن السيبراني، وأن 5% من المتفوقين الحاصلين على أعلى درجات في الاختبار الذي سيعد نهاية البرنامج سيحصلون على برامج تدريبية تقدمها أكاديمية التدريب التابعة للنقابة كمنحة تشجيعية، موضحًا أن البرنامج التدريبي يشهد وجود معامل افتراضية للتدريب والتطبيق.
وأشار المهندس أحمد مهران إلى أن 2% من المتفوقين ستتكفل النقابة بالاختبار الدولي لهم بناءً على توجيهات نقيب المهندسين، معظّمًا من جهود إدارة التدريب بالنقابة العامة لحرصهم على الخروج بكافة البرامج التدريبية بالصورة اللائقة بكل المهندسين المتدربين.
في كلمة مقتضبة حيا الدكتور إيهاب أبو سيف- أحد أعضاء فريق التدريب والمحاضر بشركة (Palo Alto Networks) المهندس طارق النبراوي على رعايته لهذه المبادرة التدريبية في مجال يشهد نقصًا كبيرًا من العاملين به، وأن تبني نقابة المهندسين لهذه المبادرة والتي تقدم بأقل من 10% من تكلفة الحصول عليها في أماكن أخرى هو أمر عظيم، معربًا عن سعادته لحرص النقابة على تدريب عدد 10 آلاف مهندس في هذا المجال الحيوي.
