The General Union of Veterinary Doctors, led by the Captain General, Dr. Majdi Hassan, signed today, 21 January 2026 a protocol of cooperation with the Centre for Agricultural Research, under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Adel Abdel-Amir.

In the presence of Dr. Muhammad al-Saabbi; member of the Council of the General Union of Veterinary Doctors, Professor Dr. Ignas Abdel Rahman and Professor Dr. Lai ' Attiya, Adviser to the Chairman of the Centre for Animal Resources.

This Protocol is part of the effort to push these competent authorities to obtain accreditation of the Egyptian Health Council, as a preliminary step for the establishment of specialized training courses that grant points of CPD.
Also, cooperation between the Agricultural Research Centre and the General Union of Veterinary Doctors has been strengthened to develop the skills and capacities of veterinary doctors through integrated training programmes in all areas of veterinary medicine.

The Protocol aims to provide certified training opportunities for graduates at the Centre for Agricultural Research, thereby enhancing their practical and scientific competence.
Certificates for graduates participating in the Centre ' s training programmes, thereby enhancing their opportunities in the labour market.
These include: training in state-of-the-art medical and public health techniques and research, training in food safety and quality and modern methods of analysis.
Besides training in environmental and human health areas, including environmental impact studies on health and methods for the prevention of associated diseases.
The Captain General, Dr. Majdi Hassan, looked forward to further fruitful cooperation with the Agricultural Research Centre to develop veterinarian skills and keep up with the labour market.
