Margarit Sarofim Minister of Social SolidarityDr. Mohamed Hassani, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Projects and Public Health Initiatives, and Dr. Hala Adly Hussein, Secretary General of the Egyptian Society of Cervical Endoscopy, and their accompanying delegation, in the presence of Ms. Randa Fares, Advisor to the Minister of Social Solidarity for Family, Women and Children's Health and Development Affairs and Director of the "Mawada" program in a coordination meeting in preparation for the signing of a tripartite cooperation protocol within the framework of the presidential initiative for early detection and treatment of cancerous tumors.
The meeting reviewed ways of joint cooperation between the authorities to ensure the provision of high-quality medical service to the target groups in the fields of reproductive health, family planning services, protection and prevention of cervical cancer.

The attendees discussed the importance of reaching the largest segment with a focus on the most needy areas and harnessing the potential of each of the partners in this in terms of providing the necessary capabilities, devices, clinics and mechanisms to train medical staff to ensure the sustainability and quality of service.
Egypt Vision 2030
Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity Margarit Sarofim stressed that this cooperation comes within the framework of the ministry’s vision of protection and social welfare within the framework of the participatory approach of efforts with government partners, praising the close cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Population and the efforts of civil society institutions working in the health field as an active partner in achieving sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Sarofim pointed out that this expected cooperation, which will be within the initiative of the President of the Republic for early detection and treatment of cancer tumors free of charge, will provide a distinguished medical service for women in the areas of reproductive health and family planning services and protection and prevention of cervical cancer through clinics, stressing that this step is an extension of the ministry's efforts to empower women and ensure their right to access high-quality health services based on the principle of health justice and its close link with social justice.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Hassani, Assistant Minister of Health for Projects and Public Health Initiatives, stressed this important cooperation between partners from the government side and civil society institutions in the service of health issues within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Health and Population, and that the Egyptian state has given priority to women's health through the initiative to detect tumors, which aims at early detection of breast cancer and other types of tumors in women starting from the age of 18 years, including free services for advanced examination and treatment.
